Basic Derivation Rules

One very common word that you hear in mathematics is derivation. The meaning of derivation is the set of sequences or processes that will yield to a result or a product. In mathematics, derivation is sued to come up with an answer to a given equation.

When your math teacher shows you an equation on the board, the answer is shown but you always want to find out how the answer was produced. Well, there are different derivation rules that will help people solve these equations. The basic derivation rules will apply to calculus computations especially when looking for the quantity of a function.

The simplest rule in derivation is called the constant rule. It is very easy to remember and easy to apply too. The constant rule states that the constant of a derivative is zero especially if the slope is also zero.

The sum rule will apply to addition functions and it states that in an equation where the derivative is needed out of the sum of numerous terms, you will still need to look at each of the terms on the equation and get each derivative. This is also the similar premise in the difference rule. But instead of adding the terms individually, you subtract them.
